A TEAM OR GROUP PHOTOSHOOT IS AN INCREDIBLE WAY TO DOCUMENT THE END OF A WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE OR A BODYBUILDING COMPETITION, CELEBRATING THEIR HEALTH SUCCESSES IN A FUN & ENJOYABLE ENVIRONMENT.
Team photoshoots are a great ‘experience’ add-on for personal trainers and coaches. The photoshoot day is a clear goal for their clients and the results are beautiful images for them to cherish for a lifetime. Life Portraits want to help take the stress out of planning your team photoshoot day with these easy steps below!
STEP 1: DECIDE HOW MANY PEOPLE YOU WANT TO BE IN THE TEAM (up to 5, 10 or 15) AND THEN CHOOSE YOUR PACKAGE BASED OFF THIS.
We have a range of team/group packages available with an incredible location included! We suggest to coaches that up to 10 people is the best package as it makes for a more personalised day. Once you know how many people you want to have, book in the shoot and follow these steps so you can then go out with marketing and filling those spots with a location and date locked in. STEP 2: YOU’VE SECURED YOU PACKAGE, NOW IT’S TIME TO CHOOSE SOME DATE OPTIONS
Look at your timeline for your challenge, competition prep etc and then give Life Portraits 3-4 weekday/weekend dates that would work for your timeline.
STEP 3: CHOOSE YOUR LOCATION
We want your team experience to be the most memorable day possible, which is why we have teamed up with some incredible locations across Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast to accommodate your photo experience. Here are some example locations; gym, studio, poolside, luxury house, beach and you can also supply your own location (discounts apply)! See all of our locations HERE.
STEP 4: CREATE A TIMELINE FOR THE DAY
Creating a structure for your day allows you and the team to be prepared and things to run smoothly. We suggest teams to get hair and makeup done offsite at a location with the team (or at the HMU salon) and make it a fun getting ready experience. You turn up ready in your first outfit ready for the day. We suggest the team group photo first to calm everyone's nerves (you can do 1 or 2 depending on the package). Then we photograph individual sessions for each of the attendees. Here’s an example of timings below:
Timing example 10 person team, 3hours, 10am - 1pm:
6am - 9.30am: HMU done offsite & ready
10am - 10.15am: Arrive at location, introductions
10.15am - 10.45am: Team photo
10.45am - 11.45am: Individual sessions outfit 1
11.45am - 12.45pm: Individual sessions outfit 2
12.45pm - 1pm: Pack-down & post photoshoot chat
Timing example 5 person team, 2 hours, 9am - 11am would be:
6am - 8am: HMU done offsite & ready
9am - 9.15am: Introduction & how the day goes
9.15am - 9.40am: Team photo
9.40am - 10.45am: Individual sessions
10.45am - 11am: Pack-down & post photoshoot chat
We customise each team shoot to the coach, so once you secure your package and location we can help create a timeline that works with your hair and makeup artist too.
STEP 5: PLANNING OUTFITS
The last step that brings everything together is your team outfit. We have included a number of examples from some of our teams to the right, here are some examples for you:
Fitness wear in the same colour or co-ordinated or coach t-shirt
Bikinis or one pieces in a tone of colours, or the team in one colour and coach in a different one, or all bold colours
Blue jeans/pants and crop/bra
Everyone wearing casual wear in a tone of colours
